This is a new poem that came to me yesterday morning, checking my email, seeing who’s email that was once there a lot wasn’t there any more. A pity. So this one’s for you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Silence<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I met you through songs<\/p>\n

In a bar full of happy noise.<\/p>\n

You got up and sang<\/p>\n

And forgot the words<\/p>\n

And hearing you<\/p>\n

So did my heart.<\/p>\n

I heard your silent music<\/p>\n

Stranger than the sounds<\/p>\n

We played together at night,<\/p>\n

Rehearsing our short chorus<\/p>\n

To the tune I thought you liked.<\/p>\n

We sang together and talked about<\/p>\n

The Book of Love and long ago<\/p>\n

And touched on God above<\/p>\n

And if the Bible told us so.<\/p>\n

We sang through our songs.<\/p>\n

You left me in silence.<\/p>\n
